BAT RESEARCH PUBLISHED IN PRESTIGIOUS JOURNAL "NATURE"

January 25, 2010 - Bat researchers no longer flying blind on echolocation. Preclinical 3-D imaging differentiates how various bats generate biosonar signals.
The Preclinical Imaging Research Centre is the laboratory for research related to micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) and micro-Ultrasound (micro-US). With four modern micro-CT, one state-of-the-art micro-SPECT/micro-CT, and one micro-US imaging systems our centre uniquely and actively supports a wide spectrum of preclinical research involving live small animals and specimens. This high quality imaging infrastructure enables the imaging of live small animals to be acquired at isotropic voxel size ranging from about 50 microns to 150 microns and specimens to be acquired at about 10 microns. The centre offers micro-CT imaging services to both our academic and industrial community. Services are charged per-recovery basis. Contact us for your imaging needs.
